3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Safari
The 3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Safari offers a rare opportunity to venture deep into the lush, biodiverse forests of Uganda or Rwanda and track one of Africa’s most fascinating creatures: the chimpanzee.
Over three days, this Chimpanzee trekking safari in Uganda will bring you face to face with man’s closest relative in Kibale woodland. Daily trekking chances come in two times: morning or afternoon. After finding them, you are permitted to be with the chimps for no more than one hour.
With its different sections of tropical rain forest and many wildlife, Kibale Forest National Park is among the most lovely national parks in Uganda. Covering 795 km2, the park consists of rain forest, wetlands, rivers, and small patches of grassland. It is home to almost 1,450 chimpanzees safeguarded inside the park and in total thirteen primate species. If you have children under 15 years, they can participate in an educational forest walk; otherwise, children must be 15 years or older to track the Chimpanzees.
Depart Kampala for chimpanzee hiking in Kibale park. Your driving guide will meet you at the airport or hotel and take you to your resort. Enjoy the amazing scenery and old houses as you drive around the countryside. Stop off for lunch in Fort portal town, the tourism center of Uganda, with its stunning scenery and attractions.
You may also fly to the Kasese airstrip from where you would be picked up and sent to the lodge.

Right after breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the briefing location. He will next submit your information and permissions for allocation and registration of chimpanzee community to hike. On the expedition looking for these giant apes, your ranger guide will lead you. Observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat swinging from the branches, foraging, playing, and resting.
Visit the Bigodi hamlet in the afternoon. You have chance to see a swamp with amazing birds, flora, butterflies, and animals. Walk the village to the Coffee experience, banana beer production, basket making and traditional healer.
