Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

This camp is amazing! Simple yet effective, fantastic worth, thrilling, on-the-go, fabric… absolutely adore it! This property truly delivers on its promises!

SUMMARY:

The Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp is managed by Nasikia Camps, a company that boasts a range of mobile and semi-permanent accommodations throughout Tanzania. These consist of camps and lodges located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park, Ruaha National Park, and beyond! This property in the Serengeti is located in the Bologonja region from June to October, and shifts to the Ndutu area from December to March. The lodging is typically reserved on a full-board arrangement, encompassing all meals and Wi-Fi access.

ACCESSIBILITY & LOCATION:

The camp is located in the Bologonja region and can be reached with a 45-minute road transfer from Lobo Airstrip. Guests arriving at the Ndutu camp take a flight to Ndutu Airstrip and enjoy a scenic 25-minute drive to their final destination. Both camps are established on the vast plains of the Serengeti, embraced by the distinctive flat-topped acacia trees!

LODGING & AMENITIES AT NASIKIA MIGRATION CAMP:

At both locations, you can set up anywhere from eight to twelve guest tents, with a honeymoon suite situated away from the other tents for added privacy. Each tent features a Meru design, with a canvas outer layer that extends over the inner layer, creating a shaded veranda. The interiors of each standard tent feature a double bed or twin beds, bedside tables with lighting, a writing desk and chair, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a luggage rack, and one or two rugs to create a cozy atmosphere. The en-suite amenities include a flush toilet, a washbasin within a vanity unit, and a separate shower. The family tent is suitable for two adults and two children.

The communal lounge and dining areas at Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp each occupy a tent, reflecting the Meru style. The veranda of every tent offers a wonderful place to unwind or savor delicious meals while taking in the breathtaking views of the Serengeti! The lounge tent features ample cozy seating arranged around a central coffee table, complemented by a nearby bar. In the dining tent, guests have the option to enjoy their meals either individually or in a group setting. At camp, a lively and welcoming vibe fills the air, particularly near the fire-pit – this is where everyone comes together to savor pre-dinner drinks and share stories about their safari experiences!

EXPERIENCES AT NASIKIA MIGRATION CAMP:

At Nasikia Migration Camp, you will find a variety of activity options available. At both the Bologonja and Ndutu locations, the camp provides game drives, opportunities for community and cultural visits, and hot air balloon safaris:

Experience expertly guided game drives, available in the morning and late afternoon into the evening, offering thrilling chances to track the Great Migration!
The remarkable Wildebeest Migration sees vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles arriving in the Bologonja region in June and staying until October. Throughout this period, they often make swift crossings over the Bologonja and Mara rivers, where lurking crocodiles eagerly anticipate their arrival! As December approaches, the herds migrate to the Ndutu region, settling in the southern Serengeti’s short-grass plains until March. February is the perfect month to visit if you want to witness the charming newborns during calving season!
Wildlife spotting – The abundance of herbivores consistently draws a variety of predators year-round – including lions, leopards, and cheetahs – along with a diverse array of other wildlife, featuring a rich selection of bird species.
Experience the thrill of hot air ballooning! For those who wish to take in the stunning wildlife from above, we strongly suggest embarking on a hot air balloon safari! The balloon ascends at daybreak, offering you a minimum of an hour aloft to take in the breathtaking views of the Serengeti and its wildlife before gently coming down to enjoy a delightful breakfast.
For those who appreciate culture, a visit to a nearby village offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the local people’s way of life.

*This property is not enclosed and is situated in a wildlife region, meaning that large and potentially hazardous animals may roam through the area. If you choose to stay here, please remain vigilant while moving around the camp and feel free to ask a staff member to accompany you if you have any worries. It is standard practice to accompany guests after sunset.a
