Kenya Honeymoon Safaris
Kenya is a stunning and unforgettable choice for a honeymoon. With its mix of wild beauty and luxurious romance, it sets the stage for an extraordinary escape.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve, the Greater Mara Conservancies, and the Samburu National Reserve all have qualities we suggest for producing magic and unforgettable experiences. Famous for the Great Migration, drawing hordes of visitors each, the Maasai Mara may not appear the clear first pick for the final romantic escape! But well away from the throng, this region and its conservancies do have several campers providing lots of solitude. The Samburu National Reserve is, really, one of the most breathtaking places in Africa. Guaranteed wonderful experiences!
Inside the MMNR, Kilima Camp drives us insane. At the summit of the high Oloololo Escarpment, this property lies on the western edge of the Reserve. One word: vistas! From camp, you can see for miles over rivers and plains. Comprising 15 tented rooms, the guest accommodation will make you feel wonderfully secluded whether you choose the classic or larger deluxe option as all tents are placed sufficiently apart. You can sit on your private balcony and keep an eye out for animals. There are wildlife drives, strolling safaris, horseback safars, and trips into the local community if you want to participate in any events. A hot air balloon safari, rising at dawn and descending to a sumptuous champagne brunch, a great romantic treat, may be one of the most memorable activities to do here.
Going out to the Greater Mara Conservancies, we have great love for a few top properties—Ol Seki Hemingways Mara and Ngare Serian. Ol Seki, like Kilima, is sky-high in this case on the point of a Cupid’s arrow-shaped cliff inside the Mara Naboisho Conservancy. The name of the camp denotes sandpaper tree, a tree representing peace and harmony—a stay here appears a hopeful beginning to married life! Spacious and properly spaced out around the slope, all ten tents feature a private veranda where you may enjoy stunning views over the bushscape. Ol Seki staff guarantees you have your ideal vacation by offering first-rate tailored service. Activities include hot air balloon safaris, bush walks, morning and evening wildlife drives, getting to know the local Maasai herdsmen and their families, and hot air balloon safaries. Should you like safari super size, you may visit the MMNR directly! From Ol Seki, a quiet base, one may discover the game-rich Conservancy and Reserve.
Ngare Serian, our second suggestion in the Greater Mara Conservancies, is rather quiet as well! Serian means calm; of all Serian properties in Kenya, Ngare is maybe the most quiet. Located in the Mara North Conservancy, this camp may be reached by swing bridge and has a lovely riverfront position. This is really a small corner of beauty with only four tents. Often called marquees, the tents are quite roomy. There is also lots of space between them, which offers great seclusion. Each has a big four-poster bed, opulent en-suite amenities, and a bathtub integrated onto your patio, so you can recline back together and take in the scenery! Should you be able to leave your romantic marquee, there are plenty of things to do here: game drives, guided walks, bush running, fishing, and Oloololo Escarpment climbs. At Ngare’s The Nest Treehouse, you may even sleep beneath the stars. All guest groups are given their own car, along with informed guide, which is noteworthy.
Exiting the MMNR and its conservancies, we reach the Samburu National Reserve. All year long, this is a great safari spot; meltwater flowing off of magnificent Mount Kenya guarantees consistent water supplies for thirsty animals. The Reserve is also home to the Samburu people; you may visit their communities and discover their way of life. Our honeymoon hotspot here is Saruni Samburu, a beautiful resort atop a red rock in the heartlands of the Kalama Conservancy. While the Reserve might get crowded at times, Kalama is a peaceful getaway for visitors to the area. Among its six guest villas, the facility has a stunning Honeymoon Villa with a wrought-iron bed, a private dining area, and a relaxing porch. You may go to the Samburu Wellbeing Space and treat yourself to a massage for some more pampering. Should you like to engage in some safari activities, there is much to see and do here—game drives in the Conservancy and the Reserve, guided walks, birdwatching, hiking up Mount Ololokwe, and cave exploration. You can even fly out to Lake Turkana or Mount Kenya, either bi-plane or helicopter! Though we think you will have the holiday of a lifetime no matter how you spend your days.
