Our Advice for November

Traveling to Africa in November is difficult. But, this month might be among the absolute best if you select your location wisely. Visitor numbers are low in both East and southern Africa, and the lodges lower their prices to promote trade; the value on offer is first rate. Temperatures are high and afternoon thundershowers are possible since Mozambique, Mauritius, and the Seychelles are all at the beginning of their summer months.

Tanzanian

Most of Tanzania’s finest camps also reduce their prices in November. Some lodges become really good value by reducing prices by as much as 40 percent. Though one should keep in mind that light rain is to be expected during this time, that is not at anyway a justification to visit the nation. Towards the end of the month, we would advise Northern Tanzania over Southern Tanzania since the rains impact the wildlife down south but the Great Migration, Ngorongoro and Serengeti stay excellent.

The Republic of South Africa

South Africa in November is a nice nation to explore all month long. Especially at the Cape, this is a wonderful season. The weather is becoming better and spring is becoming summer.

Daytime temperatures vary from 24 to 30 degrees, with milder mornings and evenings; the rains usually arrive in the late afternoon and evening. Birding is also quite good in November.

Mauritius,

With temperatures having climbed over the last few months but not yet excessively hot and humid, November is an excellent time to visit Mauritius. Though often as brief evening thunderstorms, you may still have some rain and overcast. Starting in November, peak season lasts until April.

Seychelles

One of the finest times to visit the Seychelles is November since it is a transition time between the hot, humid trade winds from the south-east and the cooler winds from the north-west. This results in more tranquil circumstances in both the sea and weather and makes it a perfect time to visit for the beach and water-based sports such snorkeling and diving.

Namibia

November in Namibia is somewhat changeable. Mostly it is hot and dry; yet, with the arrival of sporadic thundershowers accumulating toward the end of the month. Temperatures on average can exceed 30°C (86°F) during the day. The beginning of the calving season, which increases predator activity, is also this.
