Nyerere National Park Boating Safaris
Although Nyerere National Park in Tanzania provides really decent vehicle safaris, nothing quite compares to the boat safari this park provides. One of Tanzania’s best safari pursuits is floating along the great Rufiji River surrounded by park life.
Long admirers of this lesser-known Reserve, we find great appeal in the park based mostly on the boating safari. Very few locations in Africa allow you to be as cosily near to the aquatic life of the continent. While several of Tanzania’s game parks provide rather good big-game safaris, the activities available in the country’s principal National Parks are confined to game driving and brief walks. Boat safari presents visitors with a whole different kind of experience.
Since Lake Manze originally opened, we have always helped it. This small camp is a big popularity since it provides excellent value safari generally and fantastic boat safaris on Lake Manze itself. Siwandu Camp comes rather more pricey. Loved by the honeymoon market for the comfort on offer here, Siwandu is a superb mid-priced choice – possibly the finest value in the park. Sand Rivers occupy the high end of the market. This is a wonderful gem; there is no finer camp for boating safari in Tanzania anywhere save on the banks of the Rufiji itself.
